• the reappointment, promotion and tenure (RPT) review processes. 
• faculty sabbatical leave requests and all other leave requests.  
• the annual review processes and performance management.  
• position elimination situations.  
• agreements around retirement.  
• the development and interpretation, of employment-related policies in the Faculty Handbook, the Academic Specialist Handbook and other academic handbooks.  
• the cultivation of  productive, respectful, and safe working environments, and, when needed, on concerns pertaining to faculty behavior and discipline.
